How dare they pretend that "Monte Carlo" is a new movie idea?

Now, my friend brought it to my attention that it is the exact same
plot as the Lizzie McGuire movie, i realize that movies are redone all
the time but why would producers think it would be okay so close
together what was Lizzie McGuire was in like 2004 so wth or was it
2006 well anyways what are they trying to do, and yes i do realize
that it happens but why are they making the same movie with just
different people why won't anyone come with a fresh idea. Shaking my
head.
i bet Hilary Duff is very angry she has to be like 22 or something
